This guide will walk you through the process of setting up a WhatsApp Business account with Meta, allowing you to connect this account to automation tools such as AUTOMY in order to send and receive automated messages via the API. ✅ Initial Requirements Before getting started, make sure you have the following: New and active mobile phone number It can be obtained from a local carrier or a digital provider such as Twilio.

Credit card Required to register payments for message usage with Meta.

Access to a Meta for Developers account: http://developers.facebook.com 🧭 Steps to Configure WhatsApp Business API 🔹 1.

Create an App in Meta Developers Go to: http://developers.facebook.com Click on My Apps and log in with your Facebook account.

For the portfolio type, select: Business .

Then click Create App , fill in the requested information, and continue. 🔹 2.

Enable WhatsApp Configuration Once the app is created, click on Set up WhatsApp .

Choose the WhatsApp Business account you want to link.

Then click on Start Using the App or Configure the App .

Create or Link the Phone Number Within the platform, click on Add New Number .

Enter the mobile phone number you will use. warning This number must be active and must not have been previously connected to any WhatsApp account.
