Complete Guide to the Connections Module in AUTOMY

Knowledge Center — Integrations

By Carlos J Quintero ·

This guide explains how to organize, create, configure, and manage connections in AUTOMY.

The Connections module centralizes the credentials and parameters used to integrate processes, applications, and agents with external services, without exposing sensitive configuration in every automation. 🎯 What is the Connections module for? A connection stores the configuration AUTOMY needs to communicate with another system.

From this module, you can: ✅ Centralize endpoints, credentials, and integration parameters. ✅ Reuse the same connection in different automations. ✅ Organize connections into functional groups. ✅ Identify public, validated, active, and inactive connections. ✅ Assign collaborators to specific connections. ✅ Update configuration without modifying every process that uses it.

Recommendation: create one connection per service, account, and environment.

Use names that clearly distinguish Production, Testing, and Development. 🛠 Prerequisites Before creating a connection, make sure you have: Permission to access and manage the Connections module.
